People go homeless in freezing cold month of december.About 2500 people were thrown out and the place was demolished,without any prior notice or alternativ arrangements.
Firstly, people are suffering in this cold weather,having no shelter.Secondly,government did not make any arrangements for the people saying that there was unauthorised construction on the land.Thirdly,a death case of an infant(nine months old) due to severe cold was also reported.
The court questioned the railways after it’s counsel failed to answer the queries regarding the survey of the place.
The Government should arrange for some relief for the homeless and provide rehabilitation for the people of Shakurbasti.
