Diwali is known as the festival of lights

Diwali is the most popular festival in India which is being celebrated every year all over the country
As well also outside the country.  People celebrate it very excited to celebrate the returning of 
Lord Ram to his kingdom, Ayodhya after a long period of time of 14 years of excile after kill the
Ravan. Diwali is known as the festival of lights. People do white wash and clean their houses, shops
to welcome Lakshmi Everybody decorate their houses, lighting lamps and firing crackers.
In evening after the  sunset people perform puja of the Godess of wealth, Lakshmi and Ganesh.
Lightning Diyas are very important on this day as Godess Lakshmi come to visit the everyone house.
It is celebrated all over the India as a signify of the Unity. Diwali festival include five days long 
celebration which are celebrated with Joy and Happiness. The first day of Diwali is Dhanteras,
Second day is Narak chaturdasi or chhoti Diwali, Third day is Main Diwali or Lakshmi Pooja,
Fourth day is Govardhan pooja and Fifth day is Bhai Doj. Each of the five days of Diwali has its own 
Religious and Cultural benefits.
