Diwali is not just about burning candles and fireworks, instead it is basically about inner peace. It is a pure festival of lights.
So, Should one burst crackers in the name of tradition?
Or not burst crackers for the sake of the air we breathe?
In ancient times, fire-crackers were not in existence, people celebrated Diwali by lighting Diyas that signifies the victory of light over darkness.
As a kid, this was my favourite time of the year. The day is spent hosting neighbours, relatives and friends, and exchanging gifts and sweets.
Let this diwali burn all your bad times and enter you in good times. Creating pollution by burning crackers was never the motive. The festival marks the triumph of good over evil.
I pray that the light brightens up not only your homes but also your hearts.
