Rio Olympics 2016, was held in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. 119(approx), Indian players went there but only 2(women) players got medals. Most players don’t even achieved their qualifying levels. What was the reason that only 2 players got medals?
It occurred because of lack willingness of players, strategy and our sports infrastructure. Want of popularity and lime-light. To be demotivated by parents and society.
Firstly we have to follow the rule, “low quantity, high quality”. Then we should have to improve the medical policies provided to the players, their training and our strategy. Players have to be focused on their games, earn their willingness, their mind shouldn’t be bounded around lime-light and popularity. And yes, after loose in games players were giving excuses that our sports infrastructure isn’t well, their this act was not well…!
