With the modernisation and globalisation media has also  developed its various segments. Where the print media used to be the oldest and most known form of medium in the society. Various new other forms of  media has emerged like tele-media, radio and the newest form of media among them i.e. cyber media and social media.

     Social media differs from paper-based or traditional electronic media such as television broadcasting in many ways including quality, reach, frequency ,usability ,immediacy , and permanence. this is in contrast to traditional media which operates under a monological transmission such as newspapers. With having numerous positive impacts society noted its various negative impacts as well like cyber bullying , online harassment and “trolling” currently about  half of young adults have been cyber bullied on regular basis.
